Teresa J. Spencer (Tè), 86, of Pawtucket RI, passed away peacefully at home, October 19th 2020. She was born in Sao Vicente Cape Verde, October 13th 1934. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio C. Spencer. She was the late daughter of Joao R. Chantre and Silvina B. Dos Santos. She leaves behind five daughters, Maria Paula Dos Santos of the Netherlands, Maria Spencer of Massachusetts, Guiomar, Silvina and Teodora Spencer of Pawtucket. She was the grandmother of Teodora, Nina, Keshia, Dontrace, Danilson, Aaron, Clarence, Zidane, Dorien, Chyenne, Amilcar, Norina, Marisa and Ricardo. The great grandmother of Malia Santos, Dave, Vincente, Dajëll, Noha, Rico, Zayenne, Zaira And Imani. She is also the sister of Alberto Chantre, Miguel Chantre, Balbina, Armanda, Orlando, Rosita, Jorge, Alvaro, Ricardo, Caite, Tania, Miriam and Elizabeth and Nelita both deceased. Also many nieces, nephews and friends from all around the world. The family would like to give a special thank you to Neusa, Vava, Clarence Smith and James Clark for all your help and support during these times.
She left her country with her husband Antonio to give their children a better life in America. Teresa was involved in Centre since she was a young child with her father. She worked as a housekeeper for many years at Summit Medical Center before retiring. She enjoyed being around her family, family gatherings, spoiling her grandchildren, traveling overseas, and especially cooking. She will be loved and missed greatly by all. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 24th, from 9am until 11am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial with limited attendees will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket.
